Over the last few weeks, many of us have had to learn the correct pronunciation of Kamala Harris’ first name. One helpful explanation was to add the syllable “la” onto the word “comma.” That suggestion caught on and spread quickly via social media, soon becoming the three-character abbreviation “,la”. You can now get T-shirts (and all manner of other merchandise) emblazoned with “,la”.

Many readers already know that I make earrings using a 3D printer, and so I decided to join the parade.

The result was the earrings shown below.

If you (or someone you know) would like a pair of these, and if you are a Kendal-Crosslands resident, you can get a free pair if you act quickly. (Don’t request them unless you’re going to wear them!)

Contact me and arrange to pick up your earrings by Thursday. We’re leaving town on Friday and won’t be back for a while.

The earrings are made of PLA plastic (a product derived from corn stalks, not oil). They are the same on both sides. The findings are stainless steel.
