On August 14, Kendal posted a note on Facebook about a small party to celebrate the licensing of the new healthcare wing. It involved “a very small gathering of residents, some family members, staff, the movers, some of the Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. staff, and more.”

I imagine there are many Kendal residents, including those who don’t follow Kendal-Crosslands on Facebook, who would be interested in the story. Here is the text of the Facebook post:

“Today, we celebrated a significant milestone regarding our Kendal at Longwood Health Center project. The Cumberland house (which is our Personal Care) received the license to start welcoming residents into its new home! We had a very small gathering of residents, some family members, staff, the movers, some of the Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. staff, and more. This achievement signifies a big step forward, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication and teamwork of so many. Now on to phases 2 and 3 of this project, with final construction finished in early 2027.”

In addition to the text, there are 14 photos of the celebration. The Facebook post is here.

The Bennetts were among the party-goers.
