Not everyone knows it, but Gwynne Isaacs has been the behind-the-scenes signmaker for many of the protest signs we’ve been proud to hold this year. In this post, I’ll present 18 that Gwynne and I have picked out—probably less than half of the ones she’s done.
In reviewing these signs, I find it remarkable how much has happened since last January, and how much worse things have gotten. I’m grateful to Gwynne for her hard work—and for the photos that document it.

A NOTE FROM GWYNNE:
Signs don’t do anything lying on a shelf.
I would like to thank all of the folks who have carried my signs. Your bravery and endurance have made a great impact.

A NOTE FROM GWYNNE:
Signs don’t have any impact if they are just sitting on a shelf. I want to express my deep gratitude to all of the folks who have had the courage and stamina to demonstrate with my signs.
P.S. shout out to Debbie for making the Gaza banner!
