Twice a year, the Teaching and Learning Committee (TLC) at Crosslands invites Crosslands residents to teach classes for other residents. All KCC residents (including those of us from Kendal) are welcome. I’ve now taken four of these classes, and (in addition to learning a lot) made a bunch of Crosslands friends.
The topics are all over the map, from music and dancing to Dante’s Inferno to beginning Spanish.
The classes are in six- or twelve-week sessions. Courses are free to participants and encourage study and discussion but discourage formal assignments or tests.
A brief summary of each course is here , and the overall schedule is here. You can find more details about the course content and the instructors on the Crosslands TLC committee page: https://www.crosslandsres.org/home/cra-committees/teaching-learning-committee-tlc/#Class_Lineup
The registration deadline is February 7. You can register online here: https://www.crosslandsres.org/home/cra-committees/teaching-learning-committee-tlc/tlc-registration-form/
Some of the classes have enrollment limits, and they do fill up, so don’t wait too long before signing up. As of now (January 26) none of them are full.
